Galentine’s Day (n.): formed by a blend of gal and Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day is a day in which women celebrate their female friendships.

Coined by Leslie Knope (of “Parks and Rec”), Galentine’s Day is celebrated every February 13 (Valentine’s Day Eve) – or any day in February that is not Valentine’s. In the following video, Editor-in-Chief Chloe Mintz documents her Galentine’s Day celebrations, sharing as she preps for a night out with the gals and devotes time to much-needed self-care. After all, February is the season of love. Whether that be familial, romantic, or platonic, you ought to “treat yo self.”
