Second semester art classes personalize their sketchbook covers

January 25, 2022

Starting in the second semester of the 2021-2022 school year, the art class teachers decided to give art students the opportunity to personalize their sketchbook covers. Over the course of two to three weeks, students from the Art 1, Painting, and Ceramics classes decorated their sketchbooks with paintings, mixed media, drawings, and any other creative styles they desired.

Art Department Chair Melissa Lima said, “The sketchbook covers were Mrs. Sonenberg’s idea… When I saw how successful they came out in her Art 1 class and how much the students enjoyed the assignment, I decided to try it out in some of my classes.”
