Class of 2025 Junior Ring Recap

This year on January 11, the Class of 2025 had their AHN Junior Ring Ceremony. A long-honored tradition at Academy of the Holy Names, the ceremony highlights the great symbolic significance in the ring itself. The upper part of the ring shows the calling of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary and three lilies which symbolize the vows of poverty, charity, and obedience. The dove symbolizes the Holy Spirit, which gives guidance to finish high school strong. Beneath the crest is “Esse Quam Videri” – to be, rather than to seem, which is the school motto and what everyone at AHN lives by. Another part of the tradition is including the current sophomore class, who forms a tunnel for the juniors to exit the ceremony. This entire ceremony is highly cherished and a big milestone in an AHN girl’s high school experience. Below are some photos of the Class of 2025:
