Songs that seniors share with their sisters
Each song shared between a senior and their underclassman friend holds memories they will remember forever.
As the seniors enter their last week, they will walk the halls for the last time as a student with some of their closest friends who are younger than them. The seniors share so many memories with their friends in different grades whether they played on the same team, participated in the same club, or clicked just from hanging out. With most fond memories, there is a special song that goes along with them. Here is a list of some of these bittersweet tunes that seniors shared with their sisters in different grades.
“I’ll Be Here” – Nicole Browne and Miranda Plummer
Taken from the musical Ordinary Days, the song “I’ll Be Here” is the finale as the lead role, Claire, chooses to stay with her boyfriend and move in after debating it throughout the whole musical. Browne and Plummer loved to listen to this song on the ride home from their crew practice every day.

“Do-Re-Mi” – Kendall Bulleit and Remi Storch
While working in the Dominican Republic over mini-course, Bulleit and Storch would keep themselves occupied with singing “Do-Re-Mi” through their activities.
Senior Remi Storch shares that “we are not allowed any technology while in the DR, so we have to sing the songs that we memorized and ‘Do-Re-Mi’ is just a classic that everyone knows the words to.”
“All I Want for Christmas is You” – Camille Yogis and Anne Marie Yatsula
From becoming fast friends on the swim team, Yogis and Yatsula jam to the song “All I Want for Christmas is You” every time they are in the car together, no matter what time of the year it is.
“Scholarship” – Hannah Menendez and Julia Lester
Warming up for soccer games ever since Melendez joined the team as a Freshman, she would get pumped to this song with Lester and it became something they had to hear before every game.
Junior Hannah Menendez claims that “every time I hear this song now, I think of Julia and high school soccer and it makes me miss it so much.”
