Camp

One of the most popular workout spots in the Tampa area is Camp. It is known for its spunky variety of classes, including cycle classes, yoga, circuit training, and sculpting classes like pilates and stationery. Riley Tobon (’25) says, “I work at Camp, and I see a lot of Academy girls taking classes there, and everyone says how great of an environment it is.”  Campers must be 14+ to work out in the unheated rooms and 16+ for all classes. Barry’s

Barry’s is a popular HIIT (High-intensity interval training) workout place in Tampa for its motivating playlists, creative workouts, and experienced trainers. Ava Botelho (’25) says, “I love working out at Barry’s because of the unique exercises they have us do, and you can somewhat work at your own pace.” When working out at Barry’s, a person can expect 50% cardio and 50% strength training for their HIIT and red room classes. Barry’s also has a 50-minute spin class. Their spin classes are unique because they incorporate HIIT factors into their cycling class and strength training on the floor. Minors 14-15 may participate in a class as long as their legal guardian or parent is also taking the class. Minors 16-17 may participate in classes without a parent or guardian, but a parent must accept the terms on the minor’s behalf.

Barre3

Barre3 is a workout studio offering a variety of classes centered around Barre, a total-body workout that includes cardio, strength, and mindfulness. They emphasize no prior experience working out to feel successful in their classes. Ages 14 and up are welcome to attend their studio classes with a parent or guardian, and members 16-17 can attend classes without a parent as long as a parent or guardian signs their New Client Waiver. They offer a strength class designed to build body strength using heavier weights and resistance bands; an energizing cardio class, which is a total body workout, increases stamina, and builds aerobic fitness; a mindful flow class, which is a dynamic and breath-driven practice increasing stability and mobility also provides recovery and harmony to the body, and lastly, their signature which combines all strength, cardio, and mindfulness.
