Emme Shoop is an Academy Senior, holding her position in Achona as a first-year staffer. Emme takes part in many ways for our community, such as being the president for Best Buddies, a foundation where Academy high schoolers pair up with special-needs kids and establish a life-long bond with them, and the president for Young Women for Freedom. Emme is, especially, passionate about her work with Best Buddies. She finds the work the club offers to be of the utmost important aspect of giving back to our community. Emme sees firsthand the beauty of the help they offer, being that she has a sister of her own with special needs. Seeing the challenges and benefits her sister has received, Emme has learned so much throughout her life on the issue. With all the knowledge she has obtained, she is willing to do the greater good and show the Bayshore community the kindness that should be a part of our everyday lives. Along with Best Buddies and Young Women for Freedom, she also partakes in many other school activities, such as the Dive Team, Track, and Student Council. Moving along to Emme’s senior year, there are so many activities she is most excited about, such as the Seniors Last Day, where seniors run across the bridge and launch themselves into the pool! There are many more pep rallies and fun senior-filled activities that Emme cannot wait for! In her free time, Emme enjoys spending time with her family while watching football. When the sound of football chants and fan screams isn’t playing on the TV, Emme enjoys listening to some of Drake and Morgan Wallen’s famous songs. During the hot summer days, Emme enjoys taking her friends to the beach. When shopping, Emme enjoys fishing for the latest fashion trends at Lululemon. Emme is left-handed and has two golden retriever dogs, named Joey and Rosie. Emme has been spending time looking at many colleges in the south, trying to decide which. For her future career, Emme is not too sure about, but Achona knows Emme will go very far in her life!
