Drinking Water’s A Big Deal At Academy
Tempratures ranging from 89 to 91 degrees in the Tampa Bay area can make a girl feel not only hot, but thirsty too. A big problem girls face living in this weather is dehydration. At Academy, administration is trying to stop this problem by encouraging students to lower their coffee intake and bringing a personal water bottle to fill several times a day. Also, becoming a 2:1 technology school, the fear of coffee being spilt across a MacBook has administration on their toes.
Yes, having to cut back on the coffee makes the morning a little more difficult, but health-wise there are so many things caffeine can do that not many people know. In reality, it delays concentration, is a risk for cardiovascular health, and may lead to diabetes. Although as Academy girls the thought of coffee leads to the assumption of alertness for the school day, lacking a certain amount of water can cause a loss of energy and alertness that coffee supplies for a little while before the crash. Although some girls won’t always agree…
The amount of water that should be consumed per day should be at least 9 cups. If that requirement isn’t met, it can lead to moodiness and becoming tired 9. A lot of the time, girls won’t realize how quickly water escapes the body. The facts show that always replenishing the body will stop dehydration. If someone is thirsty that means that they are already dehydrated.
There are also so many ways to drink water in style. Decorating a water bottle to fit a person’s personality can make drinking water a fun little game. Staying hydrated in this weather is crucial to help Academy not only in the classroom, but also in other activities they take part in.
