Academy Holds Annual Open House

Maddy Kurtz (‘20) spent open house sculpting. Her piece depicts the book and movie character Ferdinand the bull. “To build him originally I used coils and then I added clay to make his face and legs. Now I am putting on little circular slabs to add details,” says Kurtz. When asked how long she has worked on the sculpture, Kurtz answered “we’re just at the month.”
