Culture Fair is an annual event hosted by P.O.W.E.R., and this year it took place on Wednesday November 5, 2025. The fair was first held in 2018, and since then, it has gradually evolved into one of their main events.

Its main purpose is to promote cultural awareness, given that students are exposed to diverse cultures and their respective traditions during the event. Culture Fair starts off during the designated community time, and students from the club travel through a series of rotations, presenting the country of their choice.  Each presenter shared unique aspects of their country’s traditions, which ranged from language and customs to pop culture and music, which offered a unique glimpse into different parts of the world.

Lauren Serafica (‘28) said “The presenters transmitted the significance of their culture through the variety of food.”

To make the experience even more interactive, the presentations often concluded with games like Kahoot, where students tested their new knowledge in a fun, competitive format. Winners earned tickets that could later be exchanged for food during the lunch portion of the event.

During the lunches, the atmosphere shifted from retaining new cultural information to being able to experience the unique gastronomy. The presenters set up tables filled with traditional food and snacks from their respective countries, exchanging them for the earned tickets. The cafeteria was filled with conversation, laughter, and music—all representing diverse cultures.

Beyond the presentations and food, Culture Fair carried a deep, meaningful message. It encouraged students to take pride in their own heritage while remaining open to learning about other cultures. By fostering understanding through education and shared experiences, the event continues to strengthen the sense of community in the Academy. More importantly, students gain a richer appreciation for the world in general and for one another.
