Jesuit High School’s annual Homecoming dance lit up Saturday night with energy, excitement, and plenty of school pride. Students from Jesuit and their sister school, the Academy of the Holy names, all came together for a night full of dancing, celebration, and memories that will last long after the music stops.

Held at the Pepin Center, the space was transformed into a stunning venue with themed decorations, lights, and a DJ that kept the dance floor packed all night. From the moment doors opened, the excitement was electric as students showed off their best looks and caught up with friends, as well as dancing the night away.

This year’s Homecoming was especially memorable thanks to the crowning of Senior Homecoming Queen, Abigail Doyle from the Academy of the Holy Names, and Senior Homecoming King, Gianluca Pasquatto, from Jesuit High School. Both are known through their schools involvement, kindness, spirit, and support in all areas.

When Abby’s name was announced, the crowd erupted in cheers. Wearing a shimmering black gown and a bright smile, she accepted her crown with gratitude and excitement. Gianluca, wearing his signature Jesuit tie, looked just as thrilled as he was crowned King. Together, the pair shared the traditional walk as their classmates cheered them on all throughout the stands.

“It was super fun to be a part of the homecoming court and I am so honored to have one queen,” said Abigail Doyle (‘26).

The night’s theme was brought to life with creative decorations, lights that filled the room, and the simple yet elegant touches that gave the gym a completely new look. Students and staff worked together to make sure every detail reflected the spirit of Jesuit. From freshman, to seniors, the gentleman of Jesuit escorted beautiful young ladies from schools across Tampa. Lovely pastel and vibrant colored dresses paired with matching ties and corsages lit up the room, smiling faces walking in as it may be their first homecoming, or their last.

“For my first time going to homecoming as a freshman it was so much fun, I got to hangout with my friends all night and I can’t wait to go again next year,” said Jesuit freshman Michael Moad (‘29).

As the night came to a close, friends snapped last minute photos, traded compliments, and shared laughs that summed up the spirit of the evening. For seniors like Abby and Gianluca, it was a bittersweet reminder that high school memories like this one don’t last forever, but the friendships and the experiences do. Jesuit’s

Homecoming 2025 was more than just a dance for the night, it was a celebration of the connections and the community that the young boys and girls surround themselves with. Between the crowned King and Queen, to the dazzling decorations, and the endless smiles, it was a night that perfectly captured what makes Jesuit and Academy’s relationship so special.

“My favorite part about homecoming was when I got to see my friends and we all danced together and took cute photos,” said Joceline Turner (‘28).
