Grace Callahan, Junior Staff Writer
Grace Callahan is a junior and first-year staff writer for Achona. When not in class, she enjoys swimming, specializing in the 100 backstroke and the 200 freestyle. She is also an active member of Chain Reactions and the Gold Star Club, an organization that helps families of military veterans. She enjoys cooking and playing tennis with her little sister, Mac, who is in second grade at Academy. Her favorite subject is history, and she is really enjoying her AP US History class this year, taught by Mrs. Kearney. This year, she looks forward to her Junior Ring Ceremony and the upcoming swim season. Her favorite restaurant is Cava, a Mediterranean chain. She hopes to attend school somewhere in California, where she was born, such as the University of San Diego. She is interested in studying sports medicine and becoming a personal trainer. Influenced by Mamma Mia, Grace hopes to visit Greece someday and see the beautiful sights.
