Olivia Traud, Senior Staff Writer
Olivia Traud is a senior and first-year journalist. Traud has an interest for costume design and makeup. Her passion was sparked two years ago when she began doing makeup and costuming for the Straz Center for the Performing Arts and Jesuit High School. Traud is currently training underclassmen at Jesuit High School on how to create interesting and unique costumes, as well as apply professional-level makeup. In fact, Traud has a niche for dyeing her own hair fun colors. She has had pink, purple, and green in the past few years. Her favorite subject in school is science. Beyond high school, Traud hopes to attend University of Maryland and major in criminology. She is interested in becoming a forensic scientist. Last summer, she attended a camp at the CSI Academy in Alachua. Traud is an ambassador for self-love and is passionate about helping others build up their self-confidence. In her free time, she enjoys writing mystery and horror stories. Traud says she is excited for her final year at the Academy as a senior and hopes to make the most of it.
