Achona Managing Editor, Ava Radovic is a junior at AHN who has been writing for Achona for two years. Ava is a P.O.W.E.R. secretary, Hands of Hope director, varsity cheerleader, and participates in Speech and Debate. Her favorite subject is history because she likes learning about past events. Ava works with Celebrate Birthdays and Celebrate Reading because she is very passionate about promoting literacy. She also started the “Pink is Power” blog because she is also passionate about feminism. This year, Ava is excited for the Junior Ring Ceremony and Achona revamp. When Ava is not studying or volunteering, she enjoys watching her favorite tv show, “Suits”. Additionally, she loves embracing the fall aesthetic and festivities by drinking coffee. Her favorite musician is Taylor Swift and her favorite movie director is Nancy Meyers because she is a rom com enthusiast. Uniquely, Ava is left handed and is an only child. After she finishes high school, Ava aspires to study political science, journalism, and eventually  law  in a big city up north  in order to reach her dreams of becoming a corporate lawyer. As the year progresses, Ava is looking forward to Achona being more involved with the student community and reflecting the diverse opinions of writers.
