Sophia Garcia
Sophia Garcia is an Academy junior and a first-year staff writer for Achona. Outside of her interest in writing, Garcia has a great passion for music, and spends most of her free time listening to and discovering new artists in her favorite music genre, shoegaze. When she isn’t playing 2048 or watching Netflix, Garcia also loves to draw and paint. In school, her favorite subjects are English and History, and she holds a great interest in politics and learning about her peers’ different points of view. Garcia also loves fashion, and is known at Academy for her unique sense of style inspired by gothic subculture, as well as her ever-changing hairstyles which she cuts herself. Garcia’s plans for the future are to hopefully attend an out-of-state college in order to become a teacher; however, in wishing to retain her creative mindset later in her life, she hopes to eventually write her own movie, and continue in her artistic endeavors.
