Sam Garateix, Senior Staff Writer
Sam Elise Garateix is an Academy senior and a first year journalist for ACHONA. Sam has a passion for dance, as a part of the Jaguarattes and an outside studio competitive team (BSDA). Sam is the co-captain of this year’s Academy dance team. Sam is also involved with AHN student ambassadors, Spanish club, and MAPS club. Another passion of hers is to educate girls her age, as an advocate of Girls Rising; she is very passionate about girls being educated and have a chance at a great life. When she is bored, she enjoys watching NCIS or Prison Break with her favorite foods: pineapple and chips and salsa. Sam likes to ask her little brother questions about his life when she has free time. When Sam is not occupied with these extracurriculars, she is listening to Kanye West and Ed Sheeran. She aspires to be a Seminole, at Florida State University. For graduate school, Sam wishes to go to University of Southern California or University of Alabama to study communications for business. Her dream career is to be a sports or news reporter on ESPN, or an events planner after graduation.
