Isabel Bequer, Editor-in-Chief

Senior Isabel Bequer is Editor-in-Chief  for the Achona. During her fourth year on the Achona staff, Isabel is excited to get to know the new Achona writers. Isabel is captain of the Speech and Debate team, as well as a member of POWER and Social Justice clubs. She also is an intern at Community Food Pantry and an active member of her parish, St. Tim’s Youth Center. Isabel strongly believes in immigrant rights and the ability for everyone to have a chance at a better life. She is excited to attend college and would like to attend Duke University or University of Florida. When she is not being a stage manager for drama teacher Mrs. Kimbler, Isabel can be found reading or listening to a podcast from NPR. Isabel also enjoys wearing fun and weird socks on Fridays, and she often hears that she looks similar to Paris from Gilmore Girls.
