Chloe Mintz
Chloe Mintz is a sophomore staff writer, and a first-year journalist for Achona, the Academy newspaper. Mintz is a member of the Speech and Debate team at Academy. She is also  a part of Ambassadors, a club that showcases the Academy. Mintz was able to co-start the fundraiser The Chain Reaction, which raises money and awareness for a rare form of osteosarcoma. Outside of school she coaches gymnastics for Elite Technique gymnastics. Mintz really enjoys reading books, more specifically the Harry Potter series. When reading she enjoys being able to dive in the books and portray characters.  When she is not reading she frequently visits Veracross, Buzzfeed, and Urban Outfitters. In her spare time, if she is not doing homework, she watches "Baby" on Netflix. During her sophomore year of high school, Mintz looks forward to being able to drive. Mintz’s aspirations for the future include attending Stanford, but she says if that doesn’t work out, she will attend Washington and Lee, the same school her father attended. She hopes to have a political career journalist. Mintz also enjoys listening to Bossa Nova music or elevator music. She is excited for her sophomore year, feeling more comfortable at school.
