Vanessa Alvarez, Editor-in-Chief
Vanessa Alvarez is a third year member of Achona and one of four Editors-in-Chief, as well as Co-President of the Teen Leadership Council. Within the Academy community, she enjoys peer mentoring the middle school students, and writing about current events and other topics she is passionate about, including her love of pugs. If Alvarez isn’t writing a story for Achona, you can find her scrolling through Lauren Conrad’s blog or watching New Girl, her favorite comedy, on Netflix. She is most excited about all the “last’s” she will celebrate with her senior sisters during her final year at Academy, and she is optimistic about what the future holds for her in college. After attending college, Alvarez plans to combine her love of journalism and finance to pursue a career as a Financial Analyst with NBC in one of her favorite places in the world, New York City.
