Mei Lamison
Mei Lamison is an AHN sophomore and a first-year writer at the Achona. Mei is in involved in the Teen Leadership Council and Speech and Debate Club at AHN. This summer she participated in competitions in both Alabama and Kentucky with the Speech and Debate Team. Outside of school, Mei volunteers her time to The Humane Society and Bus the Book Bus, a project that provides books to low income communities. She loves giving back to others and seeing the kids smile when the receive something as simple as a book. Mei’s favorite subject is English; she loves to write and tries her best to journal on a daily basis. She is excited for sophomore year and looks forward to Mole Day and being in photography class. In fact, over the summer Mei along with six other AHN girls traveled to Hong Kong and took various different arts programs at a satellite SCAD program; Mei took a photography course while there. When she isn’t volunteering or dedicating herself to her school work and different projects, Mei enjoys traveling with her family, spending time with her friends, and watching Netflix.  Mei would love to go to school at NYU and live in the city. Although Mei may seem shy at first she is a really bubbly and talkative person once you get to know her.
